Case Studies

Case studies have played a key role in the New Synthesis Project. Generated by partnering countries, each was presented and discussed at one or more international roundtables.

The case studies reveal what worked, what did not and why it worked at that time, in that place and in that way. They help explore the changing nature of public administration in various parts of the world. They reveal what governments are doing in practice to adapt to the changing landscape in which we live.

We invite you to read the case summaries provided below. Some of those listed are available in their full form in the book A New Synthesis of Public Administration: Serving in the 21st Century. All will soon be available for purchase.

All proceeds from sales of the case studies and teachers’ guides will be used to advance the conversation on the new synthesis of public administration.
